Common questions

Before you start, you’ll probably want to know:

Do I really need a trust?
If you own a home, almost certainly. A will alone goes through probate; a trust transfers assets you fund into it without court. Cleaner for your family either way.
Is this legally valid?
Yes. Mantle creates state-specific living trust documents that meet California and Texas trust law, signed with a licensed online notary on a video call. Mantle is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
How long does it take?
About 30 minutes total. 10 minutes answering questions, 15 minutes with the online notary. You can start and stop anytime.
What if I move states?
If you move between our supported states (currently California and Texas), updates are included with your $99/yr plan — we re-draft the relevant sections and re-notarize if needed at no extra cost. Moving to a state we don't support yet? We'll notify you when we launch there.
What if I already have a will?
A trust works alongside your will. We include a pour-over will that catches any assets not in your trust. Your existing will can stay in place or you can use ours.
What about my digital accounts?
Decide what happens to your accounts — what gets shared, what gets deleted, and who handles what. Your family gets clear instructions instead of guessing.

Ask yourself

If something happened tomorrow, would you be okay with how your money, your house, your kids, and all those accounts with passwords only you know would be handled?

If the answer is “eh… not really” — that’s what we’re here for.

Free to start. Pay only when you’re ready to sign.
